Occasionally, Resource Managers will notice that they have Users who are over their Capacity in Allocated Hours yet still have availability. This is entirely possible in the system since Over-Allocation does not roll over to the next day.
Consider that a user has a 40 hours of Capacity in a week. 8 hours per day.
Day of Week | Capacity | Allocated Hours | Availability |
Monday | 8 | 15 | 0 |
Tuesday | 8 | 11 | 0 |
Wednesday | 8 | 9 | 0 |
Thursday | 8 | 3 | 5 |
Friday | 8 | 3 | 5 |
While the user is Over-Allocated for the week (41 hours) they have Availability on Thursday and Friday because they have 3 hours Allocated out of 8. They, therefore, have 5 hours of availability on both days and 10 for the week.
Hope that helps!
