Can I disable "Assessment Notification for Demand" on the Assessment Instance table without impact?

Hi,

I see that there is a OOB notification named "Assessment Notification for Demand" on the Assessment Instance (asmt_assessment_instance) table. I am considering disabling it, but I want to confirm:

Is it safe to disable this notification?

Will disabling it impact the process, or will it only stop the email notifications?

Has anyone done this before, and are there any best practices to follow?

Disabling a notification, only disables the email. Question is why. You mention that you are considering it. Why are you considering it? Are people complaining about receiving the email? 

You need to realize that people may no longer know that there is an assessment for them (or where to find it), causing delay in the process.

And for best practice: you untick the 'active' checkbox on the form to inactivate it.
