Changing the Default View on SPW Demand Module form

We have created a custom view for dmn_demand, rather than using the APW Default view in SPW.  We updated the view rule but it did not change the view.  We noticed in UIB that the APW Default is hard coded.  What is the best work around to get our custom view to display.  When we view dmn_demand demands in the list view in SPW the custom default view renders.  Advise on how to display our custom view in the demand module in SPW?

I would recommend updating the APW Default view instead. Your options here would be to update the next experience so that it was more flexible in choosing the view or update the view that's hard coded.

Any details on why we cannot use a View Rule here as we can on the other workspaces?  Will this be changed to be consistent with the sn_align_core_demand table views in SPW?  Will we have the same problem on the List module in SPW?
