Creating a Story from a Demand

Hello,

Is there a way to create a story directly from a Demand? We have seen the ability to create enhancements and projects, but we are looking to create and link story records to a completed demand.

Any help is appreciated!

Best Regards,

Dan Wright

Hello @danwright

In the Orlando version, there is no way to create a story directly from a Demand OOTB. You can do it in the Paris version which is shown in the picture above.

Here is the documentation for Orlando

Here is the documentation for Paris

I hope that helps out.

You can activate PPM plugin on your instance to get these options.

We have PPM activated and have been using it for a coupe years now. Thanks for your help, but I think the answer for OOTB is moving to Paris from Orlando.

If you are on orlando, then you should get these options with PPM plugin.

There must be some customizations on your instance which is not allowing these choice list values.

Sachin

The story option comes with the Paris Release. Before the Paris release, you can only create a  project, enhancement, change, or defect from a demand -

Here is the Orlando documentation to back that up

In Paris, you can create stories along with different things. Here is the documentation to back that up

Here is the note from the Paris Release notes -

  • Create work items in Scrum and SAFe entities such as a story, epic, or feature from your demand so that you can execute your demands using Agile methodologies. For more information, see Create an artifact from a demand.
