Hi Everyone,
When user creates a Sub Project using "To create project from a template click here" then applying the template, we noticed that the Parent project is not set. Therefore, the newly created Sub Project does not appear on the related list. I checked the values of the newly created project and Parent field is blank and Top Task is set to its own. How can we make it so that the Parent project will be set when using this functionality?
Regards,
Diane

Hi,
I believe you will need to create the sub-project first and then apply the template to preserve the parent field.
This support KB describes the process.
I hope it helps!

@dianemiro This is a know issue.
While creating a subproject - In order to preserve field values when applying a template, the project should be saved first and then the template should be applied.
Please mark helpful if it helps.
