Creating Agile Development Roadmaps in ServiceNow

Good Morning,

I am curious about creating a agile development roadmap in the platform.

I tried using the Alignment Planner Workspace in a developer instance but wasn't able figure out how do make it focus on an assignment group.

Basically I just want to the status of projects, epics, and to map out development initiatives in one cohesive roadmap that is tied to our agile group.

Has anyone done something like this or have any ideas on how to do this?

Have you used to the Agile Board yet ? you can see all open stories by Group. You also see them By Sprint. Might have more feedback but i wanted to see if you checked that out.

I am looking for a more transparent view for stakeholders. I think the Agile Board is only viewable by the agile team members.

Hi,

to me it sounds like all you need to do is filter your Roadmap to just this specific group you mentioned and that will only pull specific Agile items that are aligned to that particular Assignment Group. Alternatively, if more groups are in play, you can use the Grouping functionality in the Personalization tab where you'll just group by Assignment Group - this will give you a broader view (depending on how many assignment groups there are), but you will only be interested in looking at that specific one you mean.

Another thing creating a single view with different items and that depends on the SN release you use - I use APW on Quebec and there is no way to pull together a roadmap of diverse types of records - projects, epics, etc - into a single view (unless I'm wrong?). I have different roadmaps for each, but I use a combination of groupings to alternate views, for example, a roadmap of features, grouped by epic (we use SAFe). As far as I know in San Diego, there is a possibility to have a single view with different types of records.
