How are the variables determined for the 'Generate resource capacity' scheduled job?

I have a couple of questions regarding the generate resource capacity job.

  1. If we setup the generate resource capacity job to run as a scheduled job, what dates will be used for the Start month and End month?
  2. If we have enabled both the Group and Role for capacity planning under the planning attributes, will the scheduled generate resource capacity job run for both Group and Role?
