I cannot seem to find a way to visually display a "Blocked" status on a card. Is there functionality to change the color or just make the label show up?

Hi Mike,
Refer the attached screenshot, if that helps.
This is Project Workbench where tasks are displayed in VTB style.
Just create your labels using the Label icon and give them a colour of your choice. In my case, I have created three labels: Blocked with Red colour, Low priority with pink and On Track with green colour
Open the card and select the label (again via Labels icon) and you can select more than one as well on the card.
In this case 'Develop Project Charter' task has two labels - Low priority & Blocked.
All other tasks has green visual - which depicts they are On Track.
Hope this answers your question.

I have looked at that route, but The problem is that i can't create a label named "blocked" since blocked is already in the system, as a checkbox on the cards. However, it doesn't show up in the label list. When I try to add it, I get the error below.

I think this is kind of missing the point of what the problem is. The story form has by default the 'blocked' checkbox field and a blocked description. That field should be visible on the card. That's how a blocked story should be managed, not by a label. If the label would be backed by that field, then it's a good design, otherwise, the labels are a bit misleading. Another example - the 'high priority' label. Why label a story as high priority if the underlying form and data has it as Priority: Low. It makes no sense. There should be a correlation between the labels and comparable form fields.
As far as the error goes, you may want to investigate the vtb_board_label table. You can list that out and possibly find the record for the task board with the 'Blocked' label. It may be there and set as inactive.
