How to link a subproject to an existing project within the project workspace

I would like to know how to link a subproject to an existing project within the project workspace.

I understand that I can link them by selecting the subproject tab from the following screen and creating a new one, but is it not possible to link them directly within the project workspace?

Hi @WataruS ,

You can use the same related list which is available on project record.

Which project workspace are you using, classic or new project workspace, is there any configuration changes in both the lists?

Thanks

Anand

Hi, @ Anand2799

Thank you for checking quickly.

I can see the subprojects displayed in the project record, but I can't find the “New” button. Is there some setting I need to configure for this?

Verify following things:

You have proper access.

Navigate to Declarative Actions > Related List Actions

filter sys_id is "5555b77273131010a0a79329faf6a780" - this is the default New button available on all related list.

Check if it was modified, any conditions was updated/changed

Check if pm_project is added to action exclusion list (If added then you need to remove it if you want to enable it)

Hi, @ Anand2799

Thank you for your kind attention.

Upon checking, I found the relevant table in the action exclusion list. Is it correct to understand that removing this will cause the New button to appear in the subproject tabs within the project workspace?
