Non-admin users can’t upload attachments to a catalog variable in Service Operations Workspace

Non-admin users can’t upload a file to an attachment-type catalog variable on a catalog task in the Service Operations Workspace. While uploading shows “Unable to upload file. Please try again.” An admin can upload the same file to the same task without any problem, and classic view works as a workaround for now. The user has the snc_internal role,itil and is active, so we’re trying to find which ACL or role requirement blocks the save.

if that's the attachment variable type, do you have any item where there's the attachment in the bottom part?

Each catalog item has a chance to enable/disable this:

Try to locate an item where there's this Attachment available and retry with the same non-admin user to see if they can use this or not.

If they can use this Attachment in the bottom of the form and not the variable type, it will be issue with the variable. If they cannot use either one, it's the role/permissions related.

Let me know how did this go and we can think of next steps how to troubleshoot it

It's a variable not an attachment icon. We can able to add from platform view not from SOW view why?

did you check in that variable any role is added in permissions tab?

I tested with ITIL user and that user is able to add file

Did you debug the security rules and see what's blocking?
