Planned and Actual effort is setup with a 24 hour workday, not 8 hour

Hello!

In our firm we use the PPM module for our Projects. In the projects we use the Planned vs Actual effort to keep up on the hours spent in the projects.

The problem is the days is setup as a 24 day, not 8 hour workday as it should be in our case. For example, if it is planned to use 25 hours in the project and I input this in the "Hours" field, it automatically autofills to 1 day(24h) and 1 hour instead of 3(8h x 3d) days and 1 hours.

We tried in our team to use the Project Management Schedule and this guide here from the forum: Project Management Schedule - explanation on the d... - ServiceNow Community
but we could not get it working, and I am not even sure it would change anything.

I hope someone knows the answer 😄

Hello,

Do you have a schedule that is associated with your project? The schedule that is associated with the project is going to drive the dates on the project tasks.

Hi,

Yes we have, it is the standard schedule which is the same as in your screenshot. In the attached screenshot you can see how we tried to setup our new schedule.

Can you provide an insight in how we should set it up to show what I requested in the post?

Thanks.

@MortenB

that's how the duration field will work.

It will convert hours to Days Hour Mins and Seconds automatically

If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

I am struggling with this issue too. I use planned task on enhancements form and it changes hours to 24 hours day format. We want to keep it as hours or change it to 8 hours day format instead.
