Re-assign in Resource Management Workspace

Hi there!!!

I've been researching about resource management workspace in my PDI and I noticed that when I try to re-assign overallocated hours from a user to another one there is no way to do that just for this portion of hours. The system re-assign the total hours of the assignment. Maybe this is a pain point but it's so important for my client.

for example: Worker A have 1.2 FTE for a period and I need to re-assign this 0.2 overallocated FTE. The system only will be migrate the total 1.2 FTE and there is no way to migrate just the 0.2 FTE.

Do you know any fix or workaround? have you had the same problem?

Make sure you have the latest updates for the Resource Management Workspace, there is a splitting feature (it will be found in the tri-dot menu next to unassign and reassign) that lets you split an allocation based on date.  It may not be a perfect solution but could help.  Also, consider unassigning the resource assignment from Nikki Sixx and the reassigning to both Nikki Sixx and Robert Plant.  When you assign work in the RMW, you can split it between 2 or more resources equally.

Yes, I considered all posibles workaround and probably I will be applying any of them but at the moment this tool is not really good for manage resources.
