Selecting group on Sprint Planning or Sprint Tracking boards

I am a member of the multiple Agile type groups and when trying to move between groups on the Sprint Planning board, a group I originally worked with is selected and all sprints & backlogs are visible.

I have recently been added to another Agile type of group but cannot see any applicable groups from the drop-down list to allow me to switch between.

Hi Buddy,

From what I have seen this usually happens because Agile boards don’t rely only on standard group membership. Even if you’ve been added to a new assignment group, it won’t appear in the Sprint Planning drop-down unless it’s configured and linked as an Agile team.

The group selector typically only shows teams that:

  • are set up as Agile teams (not just regular assignment groups),

  • have the user added at the Agile team level, and

  • are associated with a backlog/product and sprint data.

If the new group isnt showing, it’s worth checking:

  • that the group is configured as an Agile team,

  • that you’ve been added to that team’s membership (not only sys_user_group), and

  • that the team is tied to an active backlog or sprint.

Once those pieces are in place, the group should become available in the Sprint Planning drop-down automatically.
