Job Description: | The IT Service Management Administrator will be responsible for the major ITIL roles associated with the title. This person will be responsible for process liaison, incident analyst, operations assurance analyst, problem management, change management, and configuration librarian. As the role suggest, this person will be responsible for end to process and control for change management and production control board. The candidate will also be the lead technical contributor to the ITSM tool, ServiceNow. Major responsibilities will include coordinating, managing and performing technical activities for ServiceNow modules and applications, configuration and implementation, providing design input, configuration and assisting with production support and maintenance activities as needed. The Administrator will need to be familiar with all stages of the systems development life cycle, including requirements definition, solution design, development, unit testing, user-acceptance testing, validation and production support. Position Objectives: •Develop and support an expanding ServiceNow environment •Configure ServiceNow following ITIL best practices •Working knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset Management & Discovery •Training, Mentoring and Coaching user community on the Use of ServiceNow •Training, Mentoring and Coaching IT on Change Management Best Practices Essential duties: •Day to day support and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, work with teams to develop solutions in ServiceNow •Build requested items and task using workflows to manage process •Work directly with end users to resolve support issues in ServiceNow •Monitor Health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications •Create and configure Business Rules, UI Polices, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACL's •Create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes and Formatters •Configure and manage Discovery and Orchestration •Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems •Create reports and dashboards as needed •Serve as Change Manager, schedule and oversee CAB meetings •Develop and maintain the Change Management policy •Team Player •Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities and styles •Self-starter Education or Equivalent Experience/Skills: •Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience in computer-related field or equivalent work experience •3 — 5 years' experience configuring and Administering ServiceNow •3 — 5 years' experience with configuring ServiceNow Discovery •3 — 5 years' experience with configuring ServiceNow Orchestration (PowerShell) •Familiar with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST) •Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML •Familiar with LDAP, MS Active Directory •Integration of enterprise software systems •Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production •Strong documentation & communication skills •Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment •Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete goals independently •Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities. •ServiceNow System Administrator Certification preferred •ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred | |||
Additional Information: | -On version Geneva -Needs to be strong with workflows -The Event Management module is new to the company -They have a Dev, Test, and Prod environment. -They will likely install Helsinki version in test environment to see how different it is. -Upgrading Tivoli monitoring within the next 90 days so good experience with Tivoli and/or API's is good to have. -Upgrading Everbridge soon- doesn't need to know this, but needs the API experience. | |||
