Best Practice - Deletion of Demo data

Hello community.

What is the current Best Practice regarding deletion of Demo Data?

I started ServiceNow in 2011 so at the time, I created a script to delete as much as possible but that was simple as ServiceNow was at the time limited to ITSM.

Then I used a self-service catalog item on support but it had some shortcomings at some time and my team and I switched back to our own scripts.

As the platform is now covering so much, the risk of forgetting demo data grow. So what is the current official best practice? I just installed DemoHub on an instance and DemoHub asked to delete the demo data using KB0550107 so ServiceNow support is the one triggering the change. The results looked OK on that demo instance and I'm wondering if I should promote this as the best practice overall OR if I should have an interest in the the various scripts the consultant teams currently use.

Also, back in the days we were keeping the demo data until GoLive but right now, I expect that we can more and more delete the demo data at the start of the project, at least on the "not live yet" PROD. What is the best practice there as well?

Hi @david_legrand

on PDI you can do it from your profile at Developer site, for project/client environment I would contact the ServiceNow team via HI case as suggested in the KB you shared above
