For newly created Kb article the workflow shows pending draft even after the approval is approved user wanted to know why that is showing like that

This usually happens if the article's "Valid from" date is set in the future, or if an additional approval level in the Approvers tab is still pending.

Could you please check whether any approval is still pending? Also, could you check whether a scheduled publication date has been specified?

Can you share a screenshot of the open kb with it showing the publication date and where it shows pending approval? you can cross out any content you aren't allowed to share.
