When a user with "Requester" privileges is designated as an approver, the approval task appears on the platform's top screen.
However, the portal screen does not display (likely due to ACL controls).
Is this a bug?
Clicking the "Approve" or "Reject" buttons within the red-outlined area does not actually execute the approval process.
On the other hand, it is possible to navigate to the approval record screen and successfully execute the "Approve" or "Reject" UI actions.
Is this abnormal behavior?
If you know of a solution, I would appreciate it if you could share it.

You need to add the approver role to allow people to approve. Assigning an approval record to a user is different than allowing that user to approve.
Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.

What I want to do is hide the items outlined in red that are displayed to the requester.
