Why we cannot update model category to add CI class in CMDB

In CMDB when creating a new Model category (cmdb_model_category) you can set the CI class. After you create the Model category without the CI class you cannot edit the record to add that.

What can be the reason why we cannot add the CI class value when we updating the record?

there are two in my instance. The one tor 'write' access has a role requirment of having the 'nobody' role. Which seems to have 'special' properties', see:

If a CI class is needed, it must be specified when you create the model category. You can't add the CI class the model category later.
