find_real_file.pngnow-mvp76x76.pngMeet Deepak Ingale!

We recently had the opportunity to talk with one of the Community's Leading Top Contributor and Community MVP, Deepak Ingale

"I visit community to read the variety of approaches people have already used in implementing something. That helps to learn from experience of the peers and make a good decision while developing and designing. ~ I am still learning from the "sharing" of experts and peers on community and the same thing makes me want to "share" as well."

How did your career evolve?

I started my career as a Support Admin for Windows Servers, VMware machines. There I fall in love with Windows Powershell for Infrastructure automation activities. Over the period of time, I got a chance to work on multiple technologies of Infrastructure Services. Then my organization decided to have ticketing system via ServiceNow and I was asked for the role of Developer.

What do you do now? What is your favorite part of using ServiceNow

I am into Development and Technical Architectural design role now. The complete ServiceNow platform itself is very flexible. Any issue / problem / requirement can be solved / fulfilled with at least couple of approaches in the platform.   I can't imagine to live without the "Background Scripting" and excellent debugging and logging features of the platform.

How did you get involved with the ServiceNow Community?

Initial period with ServiceNow I spent a lot in asking questions and clearing doubts on various platform features and really appreciated the way that questions got answered in really no time.. Later part when I got some knowledge of platform, I started answering questions and sharing via blogs as well.

How do you work the community into your day?

I prefer to work on my work tasks, in break time I visit community to contribute. I visit community to read the variety of approaches people have already used in implementing something. That helps to learn from experience of the peers and make a good decision while developing and designing.

What motivates you to participate? Why do you do it?

I believe "sharing is caring, if you don't share, you don't care". I am still learning from the "sharing" of experts and peers on community and the same thing makes me want to "share" as well.

How else do you participate?

I try to experiment with the platform and share my findings via the blog posts.

Where do you spend your time in the community?

Mostly, these are recent questions and posts

You're very generous with your time.   What inspired you to start answering in addition to asking?

I believe "sharing is caring, if you don't share, you don't care". I am still learning from the "sharing" of experts and peers on community and the same thing making me to "share" as well.

Does your employer support your participation?

Yes, my employer supports my participation

Do you have any stand-out / memorable experiences with ServiceNow?
