Meet Community MVP...
Jaspal Singh
Hello Jaspal! So tell us a little on how you got started in your career and when was ServiceNow introduced to you?
Started my professional career journey 6 years ago, with limited knowledge but high HOPES. ServiceNow came in as icing on the cake for my career which took off like an airplane & since then has been flying well.
How did you get involved with the ServiceNow Community?
When nothing works it's Google that comes for the rescue.
Cannot recollect but was stuck at some point & then posted a question on community & was responded by none other than Chuck whose profile fascinated me to be one amongst the most recognized personalities on the community.
What do you do now? What is your favorite part of using the ServiceNow?
Covid-19 has an enormous impact on the world, but the past few months gave me a lot of time to become super active on the community again to be one of the major contributors. For now contributing to the community & working on ITSM pro specifics are the activities that I am tied up with. Everything available on ServiceNow is for a reason/cause/demand so picking a specific part would be difficult, but since the time I have started using ServiceNow one that stands out is its compatibility in terms of integrations.
Why do you spend your time in the community?
Looking for best possible solutions/answers/comments for questions to make the community more wonderful.
You're very generous with your time. What inspired you to start answering in addition to asking?
Knowledge till the time not shared will never be a Value Add. If you are helped by someone on something then you should definitely help but helping anyone without any expectation would make you feel more self-satisfied.
How do you manage professional work & community work during the day?
Something that should be a secret as it is something that has helped me to be part of MVP. Just joking. There is no secret as such. All is the amount of effort, willingness you put in without expectation of the outcome.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted a nudge to start contributing?
Community is not a battle-ground for arguments, Be patient. Be Calm.
Everyone has equal opportunity.
What motivates you to participate? Why do you do it?
Swift responses, Develop Skills, Alternate quality approaches for specific solution/s
Do you have any stand-out / memorable experiences with ServiceNow?
Being recognized in MVP class for 3 years on a row is like efforts spent being paid off
Do you have a favorite piece of content on the community?
Not content as such, but something that gives a utmost satisfaction is when you find below image for the question.
Thank you, Jaspal!
