Here are some thoughs I had after completing my Vancouver delta exams:
1️⃣ Don’t be scared! The questions aren’t difficult and you’ll have no problem passing the exams if you put a little effort into preparing for them.
2️⃣ Treat the exams as a learning experience. Think of them as an opportunity to learn what’s new in Vancouver. This is stuff you need to know for your job anyway.
3️⃣ Absorb what’s in the study guides. Take time ahead of the exams to go through the guides, then follow up on what you learn. Briefly review the docs site for more details on what’s covered in the guides, and test out the new features on your PDI.
4️⃣ Prepare the exam resources you need. These are open book exams so when you sit them, have the study guide in front of you, and have your PDI and the docs site open.
5️⃣ There’s no time pressure. The allocated time to complete each exam is very generous – you won’t run out of time. Having said that, set aside time to sit them when you know you won’t be interrupted.
6️⃣ Don’t put it off. You have until February 13 to complete the deltas, but time flies. Set aside some time as soon as possible and get them over and done with.
Happy testing … you’ve got this!
