Our org has used ServiceNow for two years. I have used it from a PPM perspective, not heavily. More on the periphery.
Evaluating and making a determination for how ITFM can assist with overall financial management of departmental expenses and capital, how it can work for project financials as well as forecasting and budgeting, how easy it is to spin up, how much is required to manage/maintain what is established and/or make modifications as organizational change occurs.

Hello everyone. Glad to meet everyone and participate in this financial management class together.
My name is Chris York, I am the Chief Simplification Officer for Lumagent. We are a ServiceNow partner company specializing in process improvement services. I have the rare claim of saying that I was personally trained by Fred Luddy on ServiceNow. I first started using the product in 2004 when Fredd Luddy sat me down and spent the afternoon with me showing me the ropes. I still remember my first Knowledge conference when it was about the size of this classroom.
While I have a deep understanding of the platform, I have never had the opportunity to implement the Financial Management capabilities. I am looking forward to lifting the covers and seeing how it all works together.
My favorite movie is Braveheart. I love a good movie that shows the human spirit to rebel against oppression and fight for liberty.

This may soon make sense, but out of curiosity, I am wondering why we created a new table to create Technology Services extended from the base Configuration Item table. Why not just create tiered Business Service records? A business service can relate to another business service and this is how I typically see other customers implement a "technology service".
