It is a very broad question. The answer may vary based on your company's asset management process and strategy. Some organizations may track it as a consumable and some organizations may choose to track it as a hardware asset.

After you create a PO w/ Line Items is there a way to "Print" the PO to supply to the vendor to actually "Order" what the PO says?

You can simply print the PO record or safe as PDF. To access the printable version navigate to the PO record you wish to print -> Settings (gear icon top right) -> Printer friendly version (General section - on the bottom)

I had used the REST API for Dell and Lenovo. The limitation was 100-250 records per response.
Need to request respective companies for accessing their API's.
Not sure if HP has something similar.

When looking at reports in a list view - is it possible to change how many records show on the page? I had a case recently where I had to change one field on all assets in a report and i was highlighting the fields in by holding shift and then double clicking and changing the value..but there was 290 records - i had to keep clicking next and changing the next page, etc. I am wondering if there was an easier way.

I assume you referring to the list of records. If so, you can change the number of records that display on the page by clicking List Control icon (aka hamburger - top left) -> Show -> your choice
If you are an admin in the system you can update the filed on your list by clicking Column options (hamburger icon next to field name) and select Update All or Update Selected (depending on your needs) and change the value of the field that you wish to update.

So, from our lab example re: Stockroom rules, the scheduled job assigns a task to the stockroom manager. It would appear then that stockroom manager is a fulfiller but simply being listed as a stockroom manager grants no roles. Would you normally recommend that stockroom managers are users with a group membership or role assigned to them?
Concerned with Tasks assigned to end users who have no ability to see/locate them in the platform. Also concerned with maintaining those positions (stockroom manager in this case) as employees come and go from a company.

The best practice is to create a Group (for example - Inventory Managers) and add the role to your new group. All members of that group will inherit the role.
My Groups Work and My Work modules are visible to all fulfillers and a place where they should work their tickets. In addition, you may want to consider a dashboard that can be created for easy inventory management from one view.

Thanks! Agreed re: My Work/My Groups Work - had simply run through a repeat of the lab exercise but made a user who had no roles/groups a Stockroom manager and created a task for them via same example from the lab. Impersonating that user did not show that they had the means to locate the task assigned to them (My Work wasn't visible).

In your example, the user that you nominated as Stockroom Manager is an end user and not a fulfiller. For this user to become a fulfilled - an applicable role must be granted.

Can the results of a data certification be automatically emailed to a specific person or group? Thinking that if we have these setup automatically - when complete the results could be emailed to a manager?

Yes, notifications can be set up to inform someone of failed results. Also, if automation is needed, tasks for remediation can be initiated. You may want to review the Overview dashboard but navigating to Data Certification -> Overview, on the very bottom it has a list of failed tasks.

How would you initiate remediation task - create a workflow for Certification Element table with condition State field = failed?

That's correct. There is no remediation process OOB, but you can create a workflow to do that for you.

Model categories and asset tracking strategy on the model dictate if the asset or/and CI shall be created. An example would be printers. Your organization may have desk printers that cost $50 and do not care about repairing them or even tracking them outside the cost management, in this example that printer model would be consumable and would not have a CI. A database would be an example of a CI that would not have an asset record.

I am not sure if this would be a good practice as you could not track the asset back to a user. However, there is a field called Support group that may be useful for group assignment.
