In addition to the article above (previous post by Henry), here is another good article that I found around this (not specific to ServiceNow):

The main point of the article is that you need to define a process that encompases everything that your company is trying to track. A good plan should include:

1. Make sure ServiceNow is tracking (configured to track) everything you are planning to validate (otherwise you will end up with a big delta of assets which need to be created)

2. Ensure that you have buy-in from the necessary groups/resources to ensure the project's success

3. Confirm your process includes how the incorrect data should be fixed

4. Perform reviews frequently (e.g. quarterly) so that the data can be kept relatively up-to-date

Thank you but  link doesn't work. We have lot of assets that are not connected to the network and cannot be discovered (Macs, iphones, ipads,...) so just checking for recommendations how to inventory these kind of assets. Thank you.
