How to export or download a custom application between ServiceNow instances?

Hi all,
I created a custom application in ServiceNow and I want to download or export it from another instance.

What is the correct method to move or download a scoped application using an update set or application file between two ServiceNow instances?

Hello @NaveenkumarM,

You have 2 options:

1. You can save all of your customizations and export/import using an update set.

2. You can use source control to export to github. This is my preference when working on my own personal projects so they get saved to my portfolio.

In last week only i did same process for scoped application you can use update set what i suggest just capture all the changes in correct scoped and you can proceed to move to another instance.

if you created it in your customer's dev instance then

-> either publish that app to update set and migrate this update set

OR

-> publish that app to app repository and then in TEST instance download that app and install it

If you created in PDI and want to move to customer's DEV instance then

-> publish that app to update set and migrate to customer instance
