Hi everyone. I'm Kevin Ingolfsland. I'm the Asset and Configuration Manager for United Technologies Aerospace Systems. I've had exposure to ServiceNow for about a year, but haven't done much production work with it. I'm expecting to gain a base of knowledge for ServiceNow and to prepare for certification. My favorite movie is Tombstone.

To what extent does this class map DIRECTLY to what is asked on the Admin exam?
Thanks,

Jon,
GREAT question!
This class forms the basis of the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator exam. EVERY question on the exam comes directly from the slides in your book or from the notes below the slides. As we progress through the class, we will also share some of the most important topics that appear on the exam.

My favorite outage (of my career) was working at a company that provided web Portals and Storefronts on 'dumb' phones. We typically planned to accommodate special high-traffic events like elections, Super Bowl, etc. We were not prepared for the level of traffic that was generated when world-renowned pop star Michael Jackson passed away. When Michael Jackson died, news of his death brought down our systems. It's one of those events that everyone remembers.
What is your "favorite outage?"

Favorite outage: Windows SUS had just been released. We were testing and released to a small subset of the company. It went so well we thought it would be a good idea to release it to the entire company. Low and behold that was really bad idea to tell every computer in the company to go get Windows updates at once. Especially considering SUS did not have any way to say stop. We pegged the Gigabit pipe and had to start blocking Microsoft IPs to get machines to stop going to them. You will not believe how many IPs microsoft has. Hint: we blocked 200 and were still pegged.

Hi Isela!
I am so sorry; however, the review files are not available to participants. They are proprietary to ServiceNow and meant to be used by the instructors as in-class reviews.

Is the Fundamentals Workbook available as a PDF document?
Would be a huge help for my off-site learning.
Enjoyed the class very much and got lots of questions answered.

Scott's spot-on, no PDF versions. You may try contacting training@servicenow.com and see if it's worth purchasing an eBook. That way you can access it online from almost anywhere. Just a thought!
