Jay Lee - Manager Interoperability & Innovation @ Huntington Hospital (Pasadena, CA)

I seem to have co-inherited ServiceNow within our organization after a few not-so-optimal implementations of Incidents, Requests, Time sheets, Assets, and Project Mgmt.

Another manager and I limped into a Change Management implementation with no developers (other than myself with prior programming experience, not in service now), starting with drafting a Policy & Procedure, Process, and then customizing Change to fit our needs. We went live October 2017 (7 months ago) and Change Control meetings have been going relatively smoothly.

Our next module will be PPM, starting with Ideation and Demand Mgmt to prep for Capital Planning in July 2018. Yikes!

Looking forward to learning how to manage and build on the Service Now platform the correct way, and how to lead sys admins, analysts, architects, and developers to successful implemenations and operations.

Hey Jay,

Glad to hear you've been successful in improving your implementation!  In addition to this Community page, be sure to join the Developer site at https://developer.service-now.com. This is a great place to collaborate with other developers, get documentation on ServiceNow's APIs, and even take some self-guided training.  Between the community and developer sites, I've been able to learn a ton while connecting with fellow devs.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, ServiceNow can also help you find an experienced partner to help guide your journey.

Glad to have you in the class!
