Learning instance for servicenow Administration fundamentals Yokohama

I completed ServiceNow Administration fundamentals trainer led course couple of months ago. I am preparing for the exam now, but the lab instance of the same doesnt seems to work. I can use PDI, but it doesnt match what's mentioned in Inkling book.

I somehow got to Learners instance, but its on Xanadu and again it doesnt match with Yokohama curriculum.

How do I get back to the Learners instance for Yokohama for the same course?

Thanks

Sugandha

Hi @SugandhaS,

when you have instance associated with a training or a course then it's temporary (I think that on default it's like 5 days but you can manually extend it up to 3 weeks, but not more) while a PDI can be held for longer period of time (you just need to log in at least once in 10 days).

What is it that it's in the book and not in the PDI? Is it some particular user or what exactly?

Perhaps you can take that class again and what's missing then you can export to your PDI... it will be a great opportunity to learn how to move data or configurations across instances. :))

It was an instructor led class, taken about 4 months ago. Cannot access it again.

While following the ebook, I came across few activities that required me to work on tables. I figured those were not available on PDI and had to install plugins. Now, I can search for the plugins, but not sure how many further modules will require me to download the plugins as I proceed forward. I got stuck on Module 1 itself and hence realized I need to work on the correct instance to continue the flow.

HI @SugandhaS

Yes, that is expected behavior. A PDI is not always the same as a lab instance. Lab instances have more plugins installed and are designed specifically for a particular course. You can still use a PDI, but with limited functionality compared to a lab instance. There’s no harm in doing that.
