i'm planning on taking the exam on the CSA course, and I wanted to learn if the company where I work is a good place to take the exam. In case I can show the place with photos.

Hi @gualamatteo

I took my CIS exam from home, and it was a good experience. Just make sure your room is clear, with no one else present and no distractions. Before the exam starts, you’ll need to show the examiner the entire room using your camera so they can verify the environment. Once everything is validated, you can start the exam, so don’t worry!

Alternatively, if there’s a nearby test centre, you can take the exam there as well. That’s also a good option.

It can be risky appearing for the online exam at work because you need total isolation and quiet for the entire time. If there are any interruptions, you will be failed.

For that reason, many people find it better to take the exam at home.

hi @gualamatteo  ,

You can check the official ServiceNow CSA exam requirements for the testing environment first. If you're taking the exam online with a remote proctor, the room must meet the exam provider's rules for privacy, desk setup, and prohibited items. You can share photos of your proposed setup, and the community may be able to offer suggestions, but the final decision depends on the exam provider's requirements.

Personally, I would prefer taking the exam at an authorized test center rather than online from home. Online exams can sometimes face technical issues or unexpected interruptions, and resolving them on your own can be stressful. At a test center, staff can help you if any technical issues occur during the exam.

If this helps, please mark it helpful or accept it as the solution.

Hi @gualamatteo

I would strongly recommend not taking an online proctored exam from your workplace. I once saw a colleague taking an exam in the office, and some other colleague who were not part of his project happened to walk behind him. He was captured on camera, and his exam was cancelled.

I also had a similar experience when I tried taking a mainline exam from home. It took me almost three hours just to get everything set up properly because I struggled to adjust the camera angle according to the proctoring requirements, and my internet connection was slower than expected.

Since then, I have always preferred taking exams at an official exam center. It offers a more controlled environment and helps avoid unnecessary stress or the risk of cancellation due to technical issues or unexpected interruptions.

My recommendation is to take the exam at an exam center whenever possible. You can focus on the exam and complete it with greater peace of mind.
