The Beginner's Guide to Finding a ServiceNow Job

As more customers invest in the ServiceNow  platform, the demand for appropriately trained talent rises. Individuals who are brand new to the ServiceNow ecosystem are doing what they can to get that training to be prepared for their first job. Some are participating in bootcamp or externship programs and others are learning on their own through self-training.

As they begin to search for jobs, most are finding that a majority of the job descriptions posted require several years of experience, even for roles that are usually entry level. This surprise and "wall" halts many and they start to doubt themselves and the ServiceNow career path. What most of them don't know is that you CAN still find a job, you just need to tweak how you go about searching, how you prepare for the interview, and how to correctly execute the last mile of the job search process.

To help individuals find a ServiceNow job, my latest video aims to be a complete guide to the process, to include a recap of the current state of the ecosystem, critical mistakes people are making and how to correct them, and then how to articulate your value throughout the job search process.

Allen Andreas:

This information is incredibly valuable and addresses my concerns. I initially considered a career as a Technical Project Manager but was discouraged by the 3-7 years of experience typically required for ServiceNow PM roles. My background includes a degree in Technology Management and Development, along with non-technical PM experience and PMP certification, but I lack experience within the ServiceNow ecosystem. I now realize that starting at the Business Analyst level to gain a fundamental understanding of the system is a necessary step.

However, I still have some reservations about pursuing a career in ServiceNow, especially given the current cost-cutting trends in the technology sector. I want to avoid investing in another certification that may not yield opportunities.

Your guidance has been invaluable, and I appreciate the time, money, and potential frustration you've saved me. Thank you.
