Dark theme keep revert to default

I have used dark theme on my SNOW for a long time until recently it keeps revert back to default theme whenever I apply the dark theme.

I need to go to preferences - theme - click on another theme to apply then click the dark theme again to change.

I have to do this every time I navigate to another tab or change dashboard. 

Any idea what happened??

If you select the dark theme, the dark theme only applies to the configurable workspaces. The classic environment remains in the default theme.
