This question is directed toward users of ServiceNow who are on Microsoft Windows and have their color personalization set to "Dark".
Our company recently upgraded to "Australia", and with it came the "Next UI". In the Next UI, with Windows Dark Mode turned on, any editable field that the mouse pointer crosses flashes bright white, every time the mouse crosses it. I cannot overstate how horrible the experience is. It has gotten to the point where I get a headache every day (because I use ServiceNow all day, every day) because of the constant flashing on my screen.
Is anyone else experiencing this and/or found a way to turn the flashing off? I have opened an incident with the company's ServiceNow team, but the incident has been open for 6 weeks with no progress. It's getting to be a serious health issue.
And for anyone who is thinking "why not turn off dark mode?": Dark mode results in lower power consumption, increased visibility of onscreen objects, and decreased optical fatigue. It seems to me that ServiceNow needs to provide the ability to turn off the field flashing. And ultimately, how is ServiceNow's field flashing useful, especially compared to the benefits of dark mode? And why should a person have to change their ENTIRE environment as a result of ONE application's inflexibility/lack of accessibility?
