Personal Developer Instance (PDI) Stuck Offline After Australia Patch 7 Upgrade – 504 Bad Gateway Er

Hello ServiceNow Community,

I'm facing an issue with my Personal Developer Instance (PDI), and I would appreciate your help.

My instance ID is dev389517.

I recently requested an upgrade to Australia Patch 7. After that, I received an email from the ServiceNow Developer Program stating that the upgrade had taken longer than expected or failed.

It has now been more than two days, but my instance is still showing as Offline.

I have tried waking up the instance multiple times, but it doesn't become active. Whenever I try to access it, I receive a 504 Bad Gateway error. I'm also unable to reach the instance login page.

I would like to know:

  1. Has anyone experienced a similar issue after upgrading to Australia Patch 7?

  2. Is this a temporary ServiceNow infrastructure issue?

  3. Should I wait for the upgrade to be resolved, or release my existing PDI and request a new one?

I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance.

Thank you!

PDI Maintenance and Availability

Some PDIs may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.

If your PDI is currently offline, you can:

Wait for maintenance to complete and your instance to become available again.

Release your current instance and request a new one. Please note that releasing your instance will permanently delete all data and work stored on it.

As a reminder, PDIs are unsupported development resources and do not have an availability, support, or uptime SLA. We strongly recommend regularly backing up any work you don’t want to lose.

Hi @PadmashivaI

This is now a known issue now and randomly user's PDI is getting offline for maintenance work and the PDI team has not yet provided an ETA for its resolution.

Backend maintenance is currently in progress in your PDI, and your instance will be up and running once the maintenance is completed.Wait for the instance till it is up if you do not have any urgent work .

As mentioned in the Community Admin’s response in the : PDI offline  thread, the team is proactively coordinating with the PDI team to resolve the issue as soon as possible, given that direct support for PDI is not available.

If you have urgent work, in that case , you can leverage using  related Lab instance  Else Release your instance and request for new (Australia).
