Yes, this is what I did as well. I injected the ticket 'short description' and 'Affected CI' field in a popup way like below. We can do a lot of things around it.
You need to update the 'Client id' with your instance name. Token might be missing there so you might need to update 'Client id' from backend script keeping token id as it is (empty is also not a problem). Just update it with background script.
