Hi everyone. It was great to be able to meet some of you at the SNUG yesterday!
Anyone built out an IT onboarding and offboarding workflow that they might be able to share?
We are looking at building that out in the next little while. Wondering if it is worth building that for IT purposes only or to look at getting into the HR module and the full integration right off the hop.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi Martin,
If you'd like to just check out the Enterprise Onboarding and Transitions app and explore the different features, you can spin up a developer instance and activate the Human Resources Scoped App: Lifecycle Events plugin. Including demo data should provide example records you can use to really explore the app and run tests.

Hi Marty,
I would consider the effort on implementing the HR module. If you have to get buy-in from the HR people, get their requirements, build, test, and show them how to use it, that could be quite an involved project on it's own. I would consider that a major transformative project and would not take it lightly.
Otherwise, build your workflow. For onboarding/offboarding, you could involve the HR people by bringing them in as a service request group so that they could at least get the requests directly and continue to use their existing tools and processes. Might be a good start.

We've looked at the pricing for the HR module and unfortunately it is something the business isn't prepared to invest in at this point. Anyone running some sort of service catalog items for onboarding and offboarding staff IT accounts? Would love to see how simple or complex some of your workflows for this are. Our process for this is mostly done via e-mail and logging things in an old wiki page at this point. But we are audited and need to keep records of when these things happen.
