Managing change requests across sites
Summarize
Summary of Managing change requests across sites
The Operational Technology Change Management application in ServiceNow allows you to view, create, and edit change requests across multiple sites. This capability is designed to help you implement similar changes at your own site by leveraging visibility into change activities at other locations. Access and editing rights depend on your assigned roles and site permissions.

Roles and Permissions
Your ability to manage change requests is governed primarily by the snotchangewrite and snotchangeread roles, combined with specific site-related roles:
- snotchangewrite: Enables you to create and edit change requests for your site and view requests from other sites in read-only mode.
- Additional roles paired with snotchangewrite define your editing scope:
- cmdbotisaeditor or cmdbotisaviewer: Create/edit changes for your site.
- cmdbotisaviewerall: Create/edit changes for any site.
- No site role: View changes for any site but cannot edit.
- snotchangeread: Allows viewing change requests, with additional roles determining the scope:
- cmdbotisaeditor or cmdbotisaviewer: View changes for your site.
- cmdbotisaviewerall: View changes for any site.
- No site role: View changes for any site.
Note: You can only edit change requests for sites you have explicit access to.
Accessing Change Requests
Within the Industrial Workspace, the following lists allow you to view and manage OT change requests:
- Assigned to me: View and edit change requests assigned to you (OT Change Requests > Assigned to me).
- Belong to my sites: View and edit change requests for your sites (OT Change Requests > Belong to my sites).
- All: View existing change requests across all sites (OT Change Requests > All).
This structured access helps you efficiently manage changes relevant to your responsibilities while maintaining visibility across the organization.
You can view, create, or edit the change requests that belong to your site or other sites by using the Operational Technology Change Management application. By viewing the change requests from other sites, you can implement similar changes at your site.
