Exploring ServiceNow values: Win as a team
In today's competitive business landscape, success is often attributed to the collaboration and synergy of a well-functioning team. That’s why it came as no surprise to ServiceNow employees that the company was named one of the FORTUNE® World’s Best Workplaces. The list is compiled each year by Fortune research partner Great Place To Work based on surveys of employees who work for global companies.
ServiceNow thrives on winning as a team. It’s one of our core values, along with wowing our customers, staying hungry and humble, and creating belonging. Winning as a team resonates deeply with the diverse individuals who make up the ServiceNow family. We asked a few employees what this value means to them.
The magic of unity
For Kat F., director of demand generation management, winning as a team means transcending departmental boundaries and embracing diversity. She loves the unique strength that emerges when individuals from different corners of a business collaborate.
“It could be somebody working in the product team, in IT, sales, anybody,” she says. “I think we come together so brilliantly as a team, which is what makes ServiceNow so unique and special.
Similarly, winning as a team “goes beyond borders” for Larry F., director and integrations regional leader. It’s a concept he learned from his global managerial responsibilities, he says.
Larry recognizes the importance of understanding and integrating diverse cultural backgrounds to enrich the team's perspectives. This collective agreement on common goals can enable teams to address challenges with a comprehensive approach.
Customer-centric collaboration
A crucial aspect of winning as a team is the impact on customers, notes Natasha W., senior team account executive. A united team that works together seamlessly can enhance internal operations and reflect positively on customer experience. It promotes trust and demonstrates the organization's commitment to collaboration.
True collaboration involves providing space for team members to contribute their ideas and feedback, even during challenging times, adds Evisa K., senior director of sales. This empowerment can foster a resilient team that stands together through thick and thin.
Nurturing growth
For Brady G., staff software engineer, a winning team is one that encourages growth. When team members motivate each other to improve and explore new horizons, the collective progress becomes unstoppable.
“There are always people who are driving you to be better here, which I think is a really good quality,” Brady says.

Winning as a team for me means working with anybody from across the business. It could be somebody working in the product team, in IT, in sales, anybody. I think we come together so brilliantly as a team, which is what makes ServiceNow so unique and special.
I manage several teams in different parts of the world. So winning as a team for me really is about having a collective understanding and agreement about what we’re trying to focus on, what are our common goals that the different people in my team actually bring to the table.
I do feel very supported and cared for by my team.
One of the things that customers love about ServiceNow—and if I was a customer I would always look for in an organisation—is do they work well together as a team?
Even as we’ve gotten to be big, we still have this kind of all hands on deck, we’re going to solve the problem, like when it’s time to do something big, how we all actually pull together and everyone’s rowing in the same direction.
Despite working from multiple locations and time zones, we collaborate effectively to provide quality documentation for our customers.
At first, I was just working with co-workers, and now I’m working with friends.
They’re also always challenging me to do something better, to learn something new, to go out and take risks. So there’s always people that are driving you to be better here, which I think is a really good quality.
I have never once had another colleague say to me, “That’s not my job.” Everyone jumps in. Everyone is supportive. Everyone rallies. And I’ve never had that experience working for another company before.
Winning as a team is coming together, truly, in the hard moments and in the good moments.
