Amazon connect: error while claiming phone number

Hi,

Have created instance for US region, and selected claim number. But it is giving error as You've reached the limit of Phone Numbers. But this is for first time I m trying to create instance n claim number

 AWS service opted is basic free tier. Any help could be appreciated as I m unable to receive any help from AWS support center.

I had this problem also, but on a paid subscript for AWS.  I had to submit a service request for a quota change to the "Phone numbers per instance" service quota.   It was initially zero.

I also had to submit a service request to set the 'Concurrent active calls per instance' quote, too, as that was also zero and no calls could be received (caller gets a busy signal).

I was attempting to do so on a personal basis to my PDI with a basic support and basic free tier. 

 

I too had to raise a service request for a quota change to the "Phone numbers per instance" service quota. 

 

Note that it took 3 weeks with chasing every other day to get this resolved.
