Manually adding the app install to an update set requires adding an entry to an update set in the global scope.
 
  1. Switch to the Global scope in the application picker. The related link for tracking app installs only appears if your current update set is in the global scope.
  2. Navigate to the application record by typing sys_app.list in the filter navigator or going to System Applications > All.
  3. Find and open the specific application you want to track.
  4. Locate the "Related Links" section at the bottom of the application form.
  5. Click the related link called "Add app install to current update set"
  6. The installation information will now be included as a customer update in your current global update set and automatically deployed whenever it is applied to an instance!
