Custom applications creation

I am new to ServiceNow development and looking to build and practice some basic custom applications. where can i start practicing either using studio or App Engine studio !? Could someone explain the key prerequisites for getting started, including essential concepts, programming skills, and tools?  Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!

I second what @Kieran Anson said, especially the part about getting a personal dev instance to safely play and test ServiceNow Studio and App Engine Studio. There is no substitute for hands-on learning!

If you want to learn:

• You can practice hands-on in a Personal Developer Instance (PDI), which is the best environment to explore without any fear.

• While you're learning, I am also learning, so try spending time on the community platform to answer questions. This is a place where you'll encounter hundreds of use cases daily, not just from one area, but across multiple domains.

• Share your knowledge with others. Create small use cases and post them on LinkedIn or in the community. This will help you receive valuable feedback and open doors for growth.
