We have one requirement from the client for which I would like to understand feasibility and the approach.
Setup: Custom App
On the service portal record producers we have a functionality wherein users can save the form as Draft. However, the form saved as Draft will create a record in the backend. Later, user can edit the form on the portal if required and can submit the form and the record moves from Draft to some other state.
I understand as per the OOTB functionality, whenever a record is inserted the created field gets updated with the current date and time and for the task records activity log is created with the same timestamp.
Requirement:
Now, the requirement is that when the record moves from Draft state to other state only then the created field should be mapped/updated and the very first activity log on the record should have the same timestamp.
Any suggestion or help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
