Duplicate item visible & Short description is not visible for those on ESC portal

Hi Everyone,
 -I'm not able to see the short description of item and multiple duplicate item(software model) visible with same name as see in below screenshot  item is record of software model:

Expected behavior is in below screenshot which is unique and with short description item:

How to resolve this issue can anyone suggest?

did you check your sc_cat_item table? You should be having the items with same name

Also regarding short description, check the short descriptions in "sc_cat_item" table for missing short desc items.

Hi @MarotiR ,

It looks like the duplicates are coming from the way the records are being pulled. A couple of things you might want to check:

1. Duplicate records – Verify if there are actually multiple Software Model items with the same name created in your system. If yes, you may want to clean them up or adjust naming conventions.

2. Short description field – Ensure that the Short description field is populated on those items.

3. Meta  field – insert meta field too as it improves the searchability.
