Field Styles vs Client Scripts in Workspace for calculated field validation?

Hi Community,
Can Field Styles be used in Workspace to dynamically highlight a calculated FX currency field and enforce validation (like blocking submit)? Or are Client Scripts required for such scenarios?

both are different things

-> field style works in native, for workspace you use UX highlighted values

-> to stop list update you need to use before update BR on that table and abort the update
