"Hi everyone,
As more teams deploy multiple automated AI agents interacting with ServiceNow records concurrently, I've run into a critical state management challenge:
When Agent A reads a record and pauses for LLM reasoning latency, a concurrent Agent B can write an update and save it. When Agent A finishes reasoning, its stale write goes through—returning an HTTP 200 Success, but silently overwriting and wiping out Agent B's critical updates.
Standard last-write-wins models are causing silent data loss in automated pipelines. Are other developers here implementing explicit optimistic locking (like intercepting stale writes with HTTP 409 Conflicts via an external gateway), or how are you managing record version drift across asynchronous multi-agent runs?
Would love to hear how others are architecting around this!"
