How to evaluate Store App license impact before installation?

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand how licensing and cost impact works for ServiceNow Store Apps, but I couldn't find clear official guidance.

In particular, I'm trying to understand:
- How paid apps include or affect App Engine licensing

Before installing a Store App, I would like to understand:

1. How do you evaluate potential license/cost impact?
2. What do you usually check before installation?
3. Have you experienced unexpected license consumption after installing an app?

Any practical approaches or real-world experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @hurm 

 

1. Check App Tags in ServiceNow Store: Green (Free) tags mean the app can be used in production/non-production, while Blue (Paid) tags indicate a contract update is required.

2. Subscription Management: Use the Subscription Management dashboard ,  Subscription Management Application/module in your ServiceNow instance to track license usage trends and forecast the impact of new apps on your license entitlements

 

3. Check with ServiceNow Account Executive( for your client): Connect with them and get the details from him
