Legal contract word document is not generating the doc.

Hello Everyone, 

Can anyone help me in the below issue please and guide me what else I can check.

We have recently started using the Legal simple contract in LSD and we are facing issue in generating the word template doc in legal portal after submitting the request. It shows state as Preparing and in preview tab as Contract is being generated. 

Note- This works fine for HTML template or PDF templates.

Plugin installed are - Legal simple contract and for word template - Contract pro management.

I was able to solve this problem on my end and you might be having the same issue. When you are drafting the Contract Template Rules, you must ensure that the internal signatories are mapped to the appropriate contract participants. If there are fields that are mapped to internal signatory values in the template and the internal signatory is not defined in the contract template rule then the document will get stuck in a preparing loop. 

 

Please first verify if your contract contains internal signatories.

- If it doesn't then ensure that the number of external signatories input into the NDA request match the number of template participants. 

- If it does then determine if the template's mapped fields include data specific to any internal signatory.

  + If there are mapped fields, either remove them or go to the contract template rule specific to this item to ensure that the internal signers are assigned.

Here is the update on my one. I m able to generate the word doc now in LSD but still have issue with mapping which I m working one. 

The word doc started working after the  below  script 2 lines are added. Script Include name -LegalContractUtils
