'Number' field to automatically assign a number

I created a new table and created a field called 'Number'. When creating records, I want the 'Number' field to automatically assign a number. How can I implement this?

You can use the Number maintenance module for auto number.

Hello zx,

 

You can use the below in default value of number dictionary entry:-

 

javascript:  global.getNextObjNumberPadded();

it will be part of auto-number
look the attached screenshot

Hi @zx by default number field come no need to create a new field  when you create a table below there is control tab click on auto number  check below screenshot
