Override notificationsotifiaction

I have a reqirement of triggering the custom notification , where i have used the check condition like disable default notifications ==true in custom notifications, but still it is triggering the OOTB notifications , is the overrides field in the notifications table can help? any help with the inputs is appreaciated and thank you in advance

Hi @ShaziyaS4380655,

Setting "Disable default notifications = true" in your Custom Notification does not stop OOTB notifications. That checkbox only disables default behavior inside that custom notification – it does not override or suppress other notifications in the system.

To prevent the OOTB notifications from triggering, you must use the "Overrides" field in the notification record.

If Notification A lists Notification B in the Overrides related list:

When A fires -> B is automatically suppressed

When B fires -> it is ignored if A already matched the same event/record
