Hello Everyone,

I try to learn Servicenow platform at my company. We are also try to do some POC applications. Is there any big difference and limitations with PDI? For example what can I do in PDI to create applications? What I can't do in PDI and need licensed instance?

Thanks in advance

Hi @TunaSiskon ,

Only limitations that I'm aware of, is that you can't have store applications installed on your PDI, and you can't utilize mails on your PDI as this has been disabled - Otherwise you should be good to go.

Thank you for the answer. For example I have small application on PDI can I export it and use it on licensed instance? How can I do that?

Hi @TunaSiskon ,

Shouldn't be a problem if you have ensured to capture all artifacts in update sets etc. Also ensure that all tables, columns etc. is available in a licensed instance.

Hi there,

"We are also try to do some POC applications"

Thats not what a PDI is for. Be aware that a PDI can always break, and without any notice drop and be lost forever. Also doing a POC, be careful not to load ANY customer data to your instance. Customers don't "like" such breaches.

Kind regards,
