Source Control with GitHub

We are moving through our journey with AES and are at a stage now that we are looking to use GitHub as a source control solution.

This has prompted some questions about how best to use it.  The 2 main options given to us so far are

1. A Monorepo

2. Seperate repos for each application

Looking through the docs on linking AES apps to GitHub, I can't find a definitive yes/no about whether monorepos are supported or not.

Does anyone have any experience with these different options?  I like the idea of a single repo if we can go down that path.
